The ceramic PTC element is self-regulating and varies its wattage to maintain a preset temperature. This means that it only draws the required current to maintain the temperature. This product also features an open door/window functions, this means that the unit will stop heating if it detects a sudden drop in temperature, it will resume when there has been no significant temperature drop in 5 minutes (making the unit compliant with current ERP regulations).
